Rio Grande

Productive, fresh market and processing variety. Plants are determinate, strong growing and rather large. Fruits are medium large (110 grs), square-round in shape, without green shoulder, very firm and jointless. They are nicely red coloured and have high viscosity and high soluble solids. Resistant to Verticillium and Fusarium 0+1. Trials in Zimbabwe yielded up to 50% more than local Rio Grande selections.

Validated for Southern African growing conditions with excellent adaptability and performance.
